Ivory Fantasy Granite
Ivory Fantasy granite has a cream background with pink and light grey shading throughout. There are also small black speckles spread across the surface of this stone (an Ivory Fantasy granite slab can be seen below).
Ivory Fantasy is quarried close to the small village of Keelavalavu1 to the North East of Madurai in Southern India. Quarrying has been banned in parts of this area due to the Panchapandavar Malai hillock2 which contains nine ancient sculptures being declared national monuments of archaeological importance.
There is a moderate range of variance between Ivory Fantasy slabs. The main differences will be the amount of pink and grey shading present. This is important to consider if you are trying to create a certain effect with your use of this granite.
If you are trying to create a warming effect by choosing Ivory Fantasy it is recommended to choose a slab which contains a higher proportion of pink shading rather than grey. And if you want to create a cooler effect you would choose more grey in relation to pink.
If you look at the slab below you can see it has a higher proportion of grey shading when compared with the Ivory Fantasy granite dining table at the bottom of the page.
Ivory Fantasy is an extremely popular choice for both kitchen countertops and granite dining tables (as seen below).
The cream background of this granite with its hints of pink and grey allow it to blend it beautifully with hardwoods like walnut and oak, both in their natural state or when painted. Combining this Indian granite with white, grey or cream painted oak looks particularly beautiful.
Ivory Fantasy is a beautiful cream granite which can be used in a variety of applications from granite coffee tables to kitchen worktops, when used this granite delivers warmth, luxury and durability.
